Biography
Jessie Conley is a former District Court Judge of the Twenty-second Judicial District. She is a 1981 graduate of Duke University and a 1984 graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law. Ms. Conley is a former criminal prosecutor and served as a District Court Judge for four years and obtained certification for juvenile hearings while on the bench. She has been actively involved in the pilot program for the Judicial District which implemented court ordered mediation settlement conferences. She is a certified mediator for Superior Court and Family Law cases.
Ms. Conley is a practitioner member of the North Carolina Bar Association alternative dispute resolution and family law sections. A past chairman of the Board of Directors for the Piedmont Mediation Center, Ms. Conley was an active member of the Center from 1986 until 1995. She has served as president of the Iredell County Bar Association.
